I’m Ankit, an Applied Scientist at Amazon building LLM-powered agents for Customer Service. My work focuses on conversational and voice AI: agents that hold real conversations with customers, resolve their issues end-to-end, and hold up under production traffic. I care about the whole loop, from data and fine-tuning to serving, measurement, and shipping changes that move business metrics.

Before Amazon, I was a Founding ML Engineer at SigIQ.ai, where I developed AI-driven learning experiences for exam preparation. I helped build our flagship product: PadhAI, an app for Indian Civil Services exam preparation with over 175,000 users. My work on PadhAI’s AI-powered news feature became one of the most engaged-with tools in the app, helping thousands of aspirants connect current events with their exam preparation.

Earlier, I worked on 3D spatial intelligence at Matterport and on ML for nuclear reactor optimization at Blue Wave AI Labs. I have a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur (2018) and an MS from Purdue University (2020). At Purdue I worked with Dr. Ayman Habib in the Digital Photogrammetry Research Group on extracting lane markings from LiDAR point clouds, which led to several publications on deep learning and transfer learning for mapping.
